The world energy crisis began in summer of 2021 and continues to this day. Gas quotations in the largest markets flew up that negatively affected development of gas engine direction in such regions as Europe and China. At the same time, the prospects for electric cars are not as bright as before the crisis.

In the first half of 2023, the consumption of fossil fuels in the electric power industry in the European Union decreased. There were two main reasons: growth of generation on renewable sources and general decline in demand for electric energy which is generally caused by reduction of industrial production.

In 2022 general expenses of Gazprom Group on the environmental protection (EP) in The Russian Federation made 89.14 billion rubles.

2022 became check on durability for each person, for the companies and branches, for countries in general. In the conditions of external calls Gazprom continues harmonious, accurate and confident work, remaining a responsible supplier and a reliable partner.

It is necessary to admire progress of the European Union in decrease in demand for gas and increases of power safety. Whether a joke, a heating season safely came to the end, the delightful plan of decrease in demand for gas is implemented and exceeded, and EU countries began joint purchase of natural gas.
