Gas quotations in the largest markets flew up that negatively affected development of gas engine direction in such regions as Europe and China. In the first half of 2023, the consumption of fossil fuels in the electric power industry in the European Union decreased. There were two main reasons: growth of generation on renewable sources and general decline in demand for electric energy which is generally caused by reduction of industrial production.
